Employment Contracts


In Germany the most important conditions of an employment relationship are covered by statutory provisions. Although it is not possible to change these provisions and to agree on alternative conditions it is common to conclude a written employment contract. This makes sense since it is more convenient for both parties to refer to just one document rather than a lot of different statutes. Furthermore, every employer is obliged to provide the employees with the most important conditions in writing anyway.
